Fruitcake is For the Birds

At least, it can be. Here are 10 things to do with that leftover holiday fruitcake.

10. Blow it Up with Fireworks

My husband intends to do just this on New Year’s Eve, pretending to be aMythbuster while I stand back and ridicule him.

9. Use it as a Birdfeeder

Slather the thing with peanut butter, roll it in bird seed, and hang it up outside. Of course, it may work as a feeder just the way it is. You could also break it up into little chunks and put them inside a larger feeder for squirrels—which is what we do when my daughter doesn’t eat all of her cereal…

8. Make It Into a Stamp

If it’s hard, you can carve out shapes (a heart, a tree, whatever) and dip it into paint to use as a stamp.
